1. Who are Applis Publishers:
Applis is an international open-access scientific publisher that showcases high quality research and innovative ideas thus fostering excellence in science and medicine and makes an impact on health care and practice for the benefit of Society. We strongly believe that accessing, sharing and dissemination of knowledge are crucial factors for the development of society and this is achieved by addressing important social concerns like better health, new therapies, and disease prevention strategies. Hence, we rely on technological and communication platform to promote open access to create and validate knowledge. We support the development of science as a public good, available at no charge to all our readers; rather than restricting that as an activity conducted behind closed doors with paid subscriptions.
2. What is the scope of Applis journals?
Applis’s efforts align mainly with its objective: “To advance scholarly publishing and communication, and the professional development of its members through education, collaboration, and networking” to create an innovation ecosystem. We invite you to support open access and strive to build a sustainable, interactive and transparent research literature. Thus Applis empower the transformative change by providing up-to-date scientific and clinically relevant information that has the potential to inform and impact medical practice.
3.Why should I publish with Applis?
Applis as an open access platform dedicated to publish high quality original scientific studies, reviews, letters, groundbreaking and provocative editorials to advance innovation, excellence and dissemination of research worldwide. In line with the commitment, our peer-reviewed journals bring together the outstanding scientists, physicians, and health professionals to publish cutting edge research on a wide range of topics. 4. Are Applis Journals peer reviewed?
All Applis journals are peer reviewed. Applis upholds the highest international standards for research ethics, publication ethics and scientific reporting. From the start, Applis instituted a rigorous peer review process, and a firm commitment to editorial responsibility. Applis works closely with an international team of academic editors reviewers who are experts in their respective fields and communities to provide authors with an efficient, fair and constructive review Report.
5. What are your publishing criteria?
We ask our Associate Editors and reviewers to consider the following questions when making their publication recommendations:
• Have the results been published elsewhere?
• Is the paper scientifically, conceptually, and technically sound?
• Are the claims or conclusions convincing? If not, is further evidence needed to substantiate them?
• Are the claims or conclusions fully supported by the experimental data and current state of knowledge?
• Have the authors treated the previous literature fairly and adequately?
• Does the manuscript meet applicable standards for ethics and research integrity?
• Does the manuscript comply with applicable reporting guidelines and standards for data deposit and publication?
• Is the manuscript clearly and unambiguously written (including references) in standard English?
• If unacceptable in its present form, does the manuscript seem sufficiently promising to warrant resubmission in the future?
6. What type of articles does Applis publish?
Applis publishes following types of articles:
Editorial, Letter to the Editor, Commentary, Review, Research, Technology/Application (or Case Studies) Case Series, Case Reports, Case in Images, Policy Bridge, Conference Proceedings, Announcements

7. How are Academic Editors selected?
Academic Editors of Applis journals are experienced researchers who are experts in their respective fields. As a general rule, Academic Editors must be at Principle Investigator level or above and have published 25 or more peer-reviewed journal articles. Editors are vetted before being appointed, and their decisions are overseen for consistency. 8. How do I submit a manuscript to Applis?
After reviewing our Guidelines for Authors, you can submit your manuscript and other files as email attachments to our Editorial Office. You will receive the confirmation that we have received your files.
9. Are there limitations on manuscript length or numbers of figures?
No, there are no limits on manuscript length or numbers of figures in Applis journal articles.
10. How quickly will I know the decision on my article?
We are committed to providing authors with a rapid, fair, and constructive review process, with a goal of giving the majority of first decisions within two weeks.
11. How do I become a reviewer for Applis journal?
If you are interested in reviewing for Applis check the page join with us and update your details in signup as reviewer. If you are interested in reviewing for any of the Applis journals, please send an email to the general journal contact.
PUBLICATION FEES
12. What are your publication charges?
All articles published in our journals are open access and freely available online, immediately upon publication. This is made possible by an article-processing charge (APC) that covers the range of publishing services we provide. The APC, payable when your manuscript is editorially accepted and before publication. The charges are set out on the journal’s APC page,
13. What does Article Processing Fee Covers?
When a manuscript is submitted, it is processed through the many different departments at Applis:
The Editorial Screening team, who perform initial technical and ethical checks.
The Editorial team, who are responsible for coordinating the review process with the journal’s academic Editorial Board – see ‘peer review at Applis’ for more information.
The Production team, who convert the manuscript to a professionally typeset article and a well-structured PDF.
The Proofing team, who coordinate the proofing process of the manuscript.
The Editorial Quality Assurance team, who perform a final check to ensure that the manuscript and its review process adhere to the journal’s guidelines and policies.
The Indexing teams that liaise with all major index services – see ‘discovery matters: abstracting and indexing at Applis publishers.
The Support teams, who answer any questions throughout the publishing process.
Hence, authors of articles are requested to pay a fair handling fee for processing their articles, in order to meet maintenance of the journal.
14. Who is responsible for making or arranging the payment?
As the corresponding author of the manuscript you are responsible for making or arranging the payment (for instance, via your institution) upon editorial acceptance of the manuscript.
15. When and how do I pay Article Publication Charges?
Upon editorial acceptance of an article, the corresponding author (you) will be notified that payment is due. We advise prompt payment as we are unable to publish accepted articles until payment has been received.
Payment can be made by any of the following methods:
1. Credit card – payment can be made online using a secure payment form as soon as the manuscript has been editorially accepted. We will we send a receipt by email once payment has been processed.
2. Invoice – payment is due within 30 days of the manuscript receiving editorial acceptance. Receipts are available on request. Please note that payment other than by credit card carries an administrative surcharge of £50.
16. Do you offer waivers or discounts?
We offer a partial fee waiver for individual authors or author groups affiliated with a university or institute in Low-income economies as defined by the World Bank. Waiver requests during or after peer-review will not be considered. Requests will be assessed on a case-by-case basis and may be granted in cases of genuine need. Due to the numerous costs associated to open access publishing, all Applis Journals can only accept to process a limited number of waived submissions per issue.
*The Waiver requests must be made during the submission process and will not be accepted after processing of the manuscript.
17. Do I have to pay if my manuscript is rejected?
No, Article processing charges will not be applicable for articles rejected by the Editorial office.
18. Is there a print version of Applis journals?
No, Article processing charges (APCs) do not include the charges for the reprints. Reprints facility is optional and should be order separately.
19. Who holds copyright on Applis articles?
The authors retain the copyright of all their work published in OA Text Journals. All articles published in OA Text Journals are open access and are licensed under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License, which means the articles are universally and freely available online for anyone to download and adapt their work, provided proper attribution is given.
20. How do I attribute when re-using content in an open access article?
If you are re-using Applis open access content, it must be accompanied by an attribution that includes the following information about the original work:
• Author(s)
• Article Title
• Journal Title
• DOI
• Volume (if applicable)
• Issue (if applicable)
• Page numbers (if applicable)
• Date of publication
• Applis as the original publisher
• A link to the original article as published on Applis Journals (where practicable)
